After a few years closure the pub will reopened on 16th March 2016 following its acquisition by the owners of The Hope in Stockport (the site of the Fool Hardy Ales microbrewery). The Spring Gardens is now the sister pub to the Hope and will sell a range of Fool Hardy beers, in addition to rotating guest beers.
