Marple Band 1930s

A copy of this photograph of Marple Band in around 1930 has recently been acquired by Mark Singleton in the Hatters.


It is from a large glass hand-coloured plate, although the scans here are from a print, not direct from the plate. Nevertheless, the quality is reasonably good. If you click the links below you will see some larger images:

If you can tell us anything about the photo, and especially if you recognise any of the faces, please let us know.

Mark is going to try and borrow the glass plate so that we can scan at a much higher resolution and hopefully pick out more detail. Of course if this is successful we'll post the results here.
