Update on the pandemic

Here's the usual update as at Friday 27th August. Last Friday's figures in brackets.
The rate of infection in Stockport Borough has risen again and is now at 350.3 (322.1) per 100,000 and around the same as the national average of 353.3 (310.5). New cases are at 146.9 (135) per day. Stockport NHS hospitalisations in the week to 22nd August more than doubled to 42 (19).
Vaccinations of a first dose have reached 217,893 (216,716) and we are now at 85.2% (85.1%) of the entire 18+ population. 77.7% (76.4%) of the 18+ population have now received two doses.

Note: I’m wondering whether to continue these updates after schools have gone back this week and next week. The figures have risen again and we may have another spike, maybe not. I’m happy to continue if people find them useful, they are local data and I still receive plenty of likes. No need for extensive dialogue just yes or no.
YES PLEASE DO

Update on the pandemic

Here's the usual update as at Friday 13th August. Last Friday's figures in brackets.
The rate of infection in Stockport Borough has risen again and is now at 331.9 (302.3) per 100,000 and remains above the national average of 291.7 (268.6). New cases are up at 139 (126.7) per day. Stockport NHS hospitalisations in the week to 1st August increased to 25 (19).
Vaccinations of a first dose have reached 215,349 (214,758) and we are now at 84.8% (84.6%) of the entire 18+ population. 74.0% (72.5%) of the 18+ population have now received two doses, including 11,364 in the last week.

Although the national vaccination booking line hadn’t been update at time of these figures, Stockport are vaccinating all those aged 16+ in pop-up or drop-in clinics, using the Pfizer vaccine. Repeating the message last week, parents of children aged 12-15 with underlying health conditions or who live with someone with a weakened immune system will be contacted by their GP to be offered vaccination for their child in the coming weeks.

From Monday 16th August, there are changes to the self-isolation rules. Details are on line but in simple terms, those who have had what is defined as “close contact” with positive Covid cases will no longer have to self-isolate provided they have been  fully vaccinated (two doses) more than 14 days previously and are not displaying any symptoms. Also anyone under 18, regardless of vaccination status, who have been in close contact, will not have to self isolate
Details are on :
