You should use the PM (personal or private message) system to send a message to member "Beeley". This will automatically send a message to the email address registered by Beeley without directly revealing either of your personal email addresses. Providing the address is still being used Beeley will be prompted to return to the site to check things out and will hopefully then make contact with you.

Hi Beeley Newbie (I am even more of a newbie),
I would love to get in touch with you via GR but don't know your name.  If you want to contact me via GR to discuss family history research I am Lesley Beeley.
Its interesting to find the Beeleys in Marple.  I lived there for a long time and have found ties via the Longsons who then married Beeleys in Stockport.   My branch of Beeleys came from Leeds, via Sheffield and Buxton thence to Stockport,  but I am convinced that Marple and High Lane Beeleys are connected, so I would appreciate any info re the Beeleys in Marple as my research is on hold due to commitments.

My father James Beeley of Cedar Road, would have been delighted to have heard his ancestors were from Marple, but not everyone likes their information spread over the internet, which couldn't have been up-to-date as he died in 2004.  However, I am also researching my Beeley tree, who did move to Dukinfield/Mottram and suggest using the Genes Reunited web-site and I can hopefully get in touch.

Could anybody help me track down the parents of Thomas Beeley born in 1816.  At various times he claims to be from Marple or High Lane.  I have obtained his marriage certificate but it is too early  to show his fathers name.  If its any help he had nine children James, William, Sarah, Philip, Thomas, Mary, Ellen, Nanny and George.  He married Mary Holehouse in 1835.  Thanks. I have just tried this, and found all the same surname listed in marple which was okay as it was all family. This could be viewed by anybody anywhere, which is scary. The only problem was that it didnt show my new address in dukinfield so where have i been living since 2002..... I am on the electrol role.

It even tells you who all your neighbours are, I had no idea this could be done!

Just as a point for people, when you fill the electoral register form in you can opt for you name to be held on the list that is not available to the general public (and 192.com! ). Won't stop your telephone number being in their records, but all my neighbours have all occupants over 18 listed on the site plus what years they have been registered, my record doesn't.

I did consider that when I first saw SGK's posting Mrs M; however, as the address was found by doing a free search of the 192.com web site I could see little reason to moderate the posting.

Just as a test, go to the site and type in your own name and location. I've just tried it with mine and it gives my phone number, my wife's name and the rest of the family too.

There is not much about any of us that is secret and as the information is already in the public domain it's very difficult to see how SGK's posting can do any further harm, if, indeed, you consider that any is being done anyway.
