At All Saints there is a grave of Henry Lowe who departed this life, March (31st?) 1657.
Is this All Saints oldest marked grave?
I've only just noticed this, sorry
The earliest recorded service of any sort took place at All Saints (not the current church, obviously) in 1588. As far as I can find out the earliest burials there were in 1655
Don't look for the light at the end of the tunnel -  stomp along there and turn the bl**dy thing on yourself!
