Marple Area Cycling and Walking Strategy (MACAWS)

As well as the Community Hub Planning Application being reviewed at Marple Area Committee Meeting on Wednesday, the findings of last year's consultation on the Marple Area Cycling and Walking Strategy (MACAWS) are being reported. There are a large number of documents included in the agenda but this summary report may be the best document to read if you want to understand the outcome and next steps: https://democracy.stockport.gov.uk/documents/s235229/Enc.%207%20for%20MACAWS%20App%20C%20-%20Consultation%20Summary%20Report.pdf

If you want to review the full package it's item 9 on the agenda: https://democracy.stockport.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=138&MId=29497&Ver=4

Marple Area Committee Dates until 9 April 2025 added to the Community Calendar

Apologies, but for personal reasons I've not kept up with Marple Area Committee Meetings since November last year.

The meetings that haven't been announced in advance are listed below and can be caught up if you missed them via the links provided:

24 January 2024: https://democracy.stockport.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=138&MId=29062&Ver=4

6 March 2024: https://democracy.stockport.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=138&MId=29063&Ver=4

17 April 2024: https://democracy.stockport.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=138&MId=29064&Ver=4

19 June 2024: https://democracy.stockport.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=138&MId=29496&Ver=4

The next meeting is scheduled for 31 July 2024

The agenda isn't usually published until the week before but I suspect the Marple Community Hub Planning Application will probably be on it once it is.

This will be the link: https://democracy.stockport.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=138&MId=29497&Ver=4

And here are some recent (March 2024) 3D images of the scheme:
