Emergency Gas Works Brabyns Brow / Arkwright Road

A Customer Liaison Officer from Cadent has emailed the following this afternoon:

I was hoping that you could circulate a letter to your members for me regarding the works. There is also a link to Stockport Council page - https://www.stockport.gov.uk/news/emergency-road-closure-on-brabyns-brow-marple-due-to-gas-works

I understand that these works are an severe inconvenience and I sincerely apologise for this.

Essentially we will be working through the night tonight (6th September) and hopefully able to complete the works and then be reinstated in the existing excavation by the end of the week, there will still be works ongoing with hopefully a much less intrusive traffic management plan.
