Congratulations to Marple's Firefighters, who have won the 2012 battle to be Manchester's Greenest Fire Station and have just joined the Marple Website Community pages to celebrate.

Here's a link to their page: www.marple-uk.com/community/firestation

I'd like to welcome Marple and District Probus Club to The Marple Website Community pages:

www.marple-uk.com/community

Or go direct to their own web site here: www.marpledistrictprobus.org.uk

1999 called and would like it's web pages back! It's good to see them on the web but it's definitely a little eye-watering.

There's nothing wrong with basic sites and tools though, I wrote the Marple Junior Rugby Club site (http://www.marpleminis-youthrugbyclub.co.uk/) in Notepad++ although it does use CSS and Javascript to  make it functional.

Everybody has to start somewhere! It isn't a notepad/html site though, they use Serif Page Plus, which is really a publishing package rather than a web design package. An easier way to get started but not ideal for longer term development of a site. At least they're having a go though  :)

;D LOL - I've not seen a Notepad/HTML, cheesy clipart  :D GIF website for quite a while! Turquoise, orange, bright yellow! I'm only having a chuckle at the presentation, not the content.
