WHY was Hollins Mill Demolished?
« Reply #2 on: January 30, 2006, 07:46:37 PM »
Does he have time to go to the library and read a copy of 'Historic Industries of Marple and Mellor', or has the homework got to be in tomorrow?

If there's enough time, then going to the library and find the information from the heritage section of the library (upstairs) could be the most educational way of doing it.

If he hasn't got time here's a couple of scans.............

Please can someone help my son with his homework.

He has to find out why Hollins mill was initialy demolished?  He has read the page on the main board, but cannot find any info as to why  it was demolished before the final demolishment in stages to make way for the co op.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.
