traffic flowing through Marple Bridge Town street very effectively this morning since teh no waiting cones have been installed. Thanks for all your efforts. You and your colleagues should give serious consideration to permanent removal of those parking spaces for the permanent benefit of everyone and the reduction of congestion.
Or how about the folk of Mellor use the 375?

As long as nearby alternatives are provided. I can walk to the doctors' surgery from Brabyns Brow car park, but a lot of people can't.

Good afternoon
With the present traffic issues in the area due to road closures we have made representations to Council officers over 2 issues: the proposed United Utility works on Longhurst Lane and the Town Street Marple Bridge parking.
We are pleased to say that the works on Longhurst Lane (meant to commence on August 11) have now been postponed until the road closures are lifted. We have also arranged for no waiting cones to be placed on Town Street around the Royal Scot PH which will allow traffic to flow in both directions. This will hopefully relieve some of the issues that have been occurring.
Yesterday we managed to lift the work on Stockport Road during the daytime as it was non essential and causing large tailbacks through the morning.
Thanks for your patience with the ongoing situation, your local Councillors are doing all they can to help.
Kind regards
Steve
On behalf of myself, Becky Senior and Malcolm Allan.
