A new eBook based on a true story is raising funds for Marple Bridge based charity Helping Uganda Schools this Christmas.

The money will go towards the building of a new school in Uganda for children with sensory loss.

Aaron Sees Christmas in Uganda (Kindle version)

This book is based on a true story about a young boy called Aaron who lives in the town of Jinja, Uganda. Aaron could not go to school because he was blind. Sebastian the Director of the 'Organisation of Parents of Disabled Children', discovered Aaron in one of the villages and was concerned because he was unable to attend school as he could not see the blackboard. Sebastian brought Aaron's plight to the attention of the charity, Helping Uganda Schools (HUGS) who decided to help him. Many more people, interested in eye care have since joined the journey to help other children with sight problems. This is a story of hope and determination. The book is written in a sensitive and accessible way for young for young children to learn about other children and they will enjoy the  beautiful illustrations.
