Yes, I agree with Snowball. 'A cracking job'.

It's taking longer than we expected but just finished our second Market Street bench refurbishment.

This one was sponsored by Helen Winterson and the plaque acknowledging that should be fitted in the next day or two.

Here are some before, after and inbetween photos:

With the arrival of spring and more than 3 warm dry days in a row we've at last managed to get the Harmony Decor plaque fitted to the town centre bench they sponsored Friends of the Park to refurbish last year. If the weather holds we'll soon be starting on some others...

Thank you to Harmony Decor for agreeing to sponsor the first bench we did, it's got us off the a great start!

Thank you to Harmony Decor for the donation of paint needed by Friends of Marple Memorial Park to continue with our refurbishment of the benches in Marple Town Centre!

It has taken over 2 years to get to the point that Friends of Marple Memorial Park can use power tools (with council approval and insurance) to refurbish the Town Centre Benches.

We have now completed a trial bench and we think it looks great. We'd now like to work our way though the rest but we need sponsorship from local business to pay for this and raise some funds for the park too. Read more on the Friends of the Park web site here: http://www.marplememorialpark.org.uk/task-days/task-days-in-2015/267-task-day-23-august-2015-town-centre-bench.html

If your business would like to sponsor the refurbishment of a bench near to your premises please get in touch with Friends of the Park.
