Now then Dave, you know exactly the point I am making.

No I do not think ANY council business should be secret, but as I said previously, you never know who is listening. I question the wisdom of the individuals concerned, a pub vault is NOT the place.
It would seem that ethics and standards are not held in the same high regards as once they were.

Have a nice day '<img'>

I would have thought that a pub was an excellent place to discuss council business.   I hope you're not suggesting it should be secret!

This morning, 26th May, I had a letter delivered to my house, it was from the MP Andrew Stunell, he thanked me for the warm welcome that I had given to the Local Lib Dem team in the last few weeks. I was somewhat surprised as no one had been knocking on my door.

I was more concerned with the "step by step" guide to postal elections. This leaflet could cause confusion in my opinion as it depicts a ballot paper with only three names on it and another with three names each with a cross against those names, IE. Alexander, Baker and Weaver and seven blank spaces. The implications to me are obvious and it seems to be a bit of a dirty trick by the LD'S.IS THIS AGAINST THE LEGAL ELECTION RULES?

Incidentally, I was in a local Marple Pub the other lunchtime in which certainly two local councilors were discussing council business with another person who I did not recognize.

I am sure readers would agree that a public house in not the right sort of environment to discuss council affairs, you never know who's listening!!

PS. I believe there has been a bit of a "Faux Pas" with the postal vote envelopes does anybody know anything about this.

My vote??  undecided as yet, no one has been to ask me
