If you like Thai food, the Royal Oak in Mellor is opening a new Thai restaurant (and takeaway?) on 14 March. ':p'

The Thai restaurant in High Lane was lovely!!!! Definately for that 'special' occasion! The service wasn't speedy but we still got our order dealt with pretty quickly considering the amount of customers. It has become almost an addiction having thai curries in our household now, we love the food! It is a nice atmosphere and the food was delicious. You pay for quality as well...although we thought the prices weren't that exspensive anyway.

We tried The Ring O'Bells at the weekend. The service was efficient and speedy considering the food is cooked to order.
The menu was a little dull, barely straying from traditional pub fare, but the cooking was excellent. I had the Thai chicken and the chicken was the most tender and delicious I have tasted in a good while (steamed, apparently).
Worth a try.

I went in October. It was nice but very pricey for what you got. Plus it was freezing cold and they had one loop tape with about five songs on which we got very sick of. Glad I tried it but I will not go back

It's a little while since I've been to the Thai restaurant in High Lane but it was extremely good. There was a reasonably priced set menu plus an a la carte menu.

It had been recommended to me so that's at least two satisfied customers! '<img'>

I am thinking of trying the Thai Restaurant in High Lane, opposite the Horseshoe. Has anybody been there? If so, would you recommend it, whats the food / service / prices like?

Anybody recommend or comment on any of the other restaurants in the area?
