Thank you for your quick reply. David was killed in a road accident on the Ashbourne Road just outside Buxton, hence the death being registered in Chapel-en-le-Frith. a service was held at Jubilee methodist Church on Cote Green Road, Compstall, but we do not know where he was buried. There are no records held of him being cremated at either Stockport or Duckenfield.

I am trying to find the last resting place of David A Waters, born 1949 died tragically as the result of a road accident in 1971 aged 21. David was the son of Arthur and Elsie Waters, granson of John and Amy Waters of Compstall Road, Compstall.

http://www.genesreunited.co.uk shows a David Allan Waters died 1971, death registered in Chapel En Le Frith.
