Discovered recently that the Red Cross Charity Shops can provide a collection service for people who cannot get their stuff to the shop themselves - the number to call is 0161 428 1833.

I wonder if they charge. I contacted Emmaus at Mossley re collection of some furniture I wanted to donate to sell in their shop and they wanted
me to pay
them £120 to collect it!
I know they are a charity which does very good work but I thought that was pushing it a bit, especially as I had had quite a good offer from an antique dealer to buy said furniture and take it away at his expense!
