Compstall Bridge

Compstall Bridge is being repaired. In order to do this the contractors have built a footway on the down stream side of the bridge. I guess it is temporary, but as Compstall residents have been asking for such a bridge for years is there anyone out there with enough influence for this "temporary" footway to remain after the work is over, after all we suffered a bailey bridge over the Iron Bridge for years and this would be little different.
