Another local character-" Little Bernard" Barton recently passed away and his life was celebrated last Tuesday at Stockport Cemetery Cypress Chapel.
Bernard, formally of Mcnair Court and lately Queens court, was a well known gentleman in the area always recognised by his smart appearance, trimmed moustache and flat cap and was similarly well known by the patrons of the various "locals" in Marple. He was affectionally regarded by those who made his acquaintance.
