Carriageway Depression In Marple

Tuesday 9 September

A depression in the carriageway has occurred halfway up Dan Bank, Stockport Road in Marple, Stockport.

Temporary traffic signals are being set up in the area, which will be manually operated during the evening. Reinstatement of the carriageway will be carried out overnight in order to remove the signals before peak morning traffic.

Motorists and cyclists are advised to seek alternative routes where possible.

Information correct as at 4.18pm on 9th September 2008.

 Hope it is only overnight?
