Blimey! Possibly the most scarey firework display I've ever been to. Got a good view right at the front of the display which was fired from the back garden area. We sat where the tables and chairs normally are on the concrete. Trouble was every firework exploded over our heads and all the ashes dropped into our eyes along with other debris from the expended fireworks. The fire, which was in the bowling green end of the car park, was a big blaze. No stewards keeping an eye on things (bearing in mind that we had paid to go to this display) so all the local youths were having a great time adding extra wood to the fire and lifting out blazing branches. We left when lit sparklers started to be thrown. Off to the Scout one tonight. At least we know we will be safe.....
