Alison - this kind of item often appears on Stockport Freecycle, a mailing list where people give away unwanted items rather than throwing them out.  Website is at http://www.freecycle.org/ if you want to give it a try.

Hi

Bit cheeky this but worth a try! My cousin and family are coming to stay for a couple of days in December all the way from 'down under'. Does anyone have a travel cot (suitable for a very cute 6 month old) they could lend me for a few days from 10-12 December or thereabouts. Can collect from Marple / Stockport area.
