The recyclers collected my black box & returned the same one. The system worked on this occasion.

I was told this the other day too.

It may be easier for them to swap boxes, but that is not what the council are paying them to do. I have been asked to keep complaining every time it happens (so that's every two weeks then!'<img'>

Along with the 12mths supply of bin bags came 2 stickers for details of owners. I contacted the environment services & they say that 1 is for your wheelie bin for garden refuse & the other for your black box. Fill in the details and affix to the relevant item. You should get your box  returned to you. The lady stated that if you didn't to let them know.

I AGREE . But its all amatter of time you watch how they work
if they were to take your box to the lorry empty it bring it back do that at every house that puts a box out how long do you think it would take it is easyer to swap boxes .

When the "black boxes" were first issued you got a sticker to put your house number on the box. Now you get anybodies box back, usually covered in something unsavoury. If as at first off we all kept the same box maybe a bit of civic pride would have ensured that "Our" box was kept clean. No point in cleaning the box every time it will still be exchanged for an unsavoury one.
