Parking

After twenty odd years of living in Stockport I have only just discovered the 50p all day parking on Saturdays under the Town Hall.  Wish I had known about that earlier.  One of the things I can't abide is parking charges - just one of those things that gets to me every time I have to feed those damn machines with pounds.

I noticed the parking attendant checking the tickets on the car park  by the post office today.

I think it would be better if all SMBC car parks had a free area of say 20 spaces for 20 minutes in all the car parks, then the locals who have to use the car in order to support local shops, would be convenienced. I know all about the free park by the vets, the furthest away and still the most dangerous junction when leaving it
