Last nights quiz raised £100 for the Donkey Sanctury, plus the Higher and Lower £100 Jackpot was won and was also donated to the charity. This gives them a great total over the two weeks of £316 to help keep their donkeys healthy and happy.

Next week's quiz will raise funds for Marple Mini Rugby Club.

£116 was raised  for the Donkey Sanctury last night and the Higher and Lower £100 Jackpot was won. There is no quiz next Wednesday (Boxing Day) and the first quiz of the New Year will be on 2nd January.

According to the new board on the wall at the pub just under £5,000 has been raised at the quiz nights this year for local charities and organisations. An excellent achievement!

Managed to loose the bit of paper with the details but I think about £68 was raised on Wednesday for All Saints' School Book Fund, making a total of around £164.

Next week will raise funds for the Donkey Sanctuary near Denton where Mary, the Ringers sponsored Donkey, lives.

The week after, which is Boxing Day, there will be no quiz. So the next one will be on January 2nd.

Exactly £100 was added to Marple Business Forum's Christmas Lights Fund at last night's quiz, giving them a fine total of 198.50.

The next two quizzes will raise money for All Saints' School.

The Poppy Appeal is £90 better off after last night's quiz and it will be the same cause next week. Don't forget the Remembrance Day Service on Sunday in Memorial Park.

Can't find my bit of paper with the details on but from memory it was about £85 raised for Otterspool Animal Haven on Wednesday night. For the next two weeks the quiz will raise money for the Poppy Appeal.

£94.50 was raised for Otterpool Animal Haven last night - fairly quite for them but still pretty good - and hopefully at least the same next week.

No luck on the Higher and Lower for anyone, especially me, as I met myself on the way back from turning over the first card!

Another £98 was raised for Girl Guides to India last night. The next two weeks worth of quizzes will raise funds for one the the most popular local charities, Otterspool Animal Haven.

It is worthy of note here that Peter recently trawled through this topic and the Iron Bridge Project Diary right back to the very first quiz at the Ring o' Bells on 19th June 2002. He has added up all the money raised since then and it comes to an astounding £20,819.45 that has been donated to local charities and good causes as a result of the Fun Quiz Nights.

This is an incredible achievement. Well done to Peter and Sue!
