Marple Carnival Grand Prize Draw!

Marple Carnival are holding a Grand Prize Draw with over 60 fabulous prizes, donated by local businesses.

Marple Carnival: 15th June 2024



The countdown to Marple Carnival has begun and this year's event promises to be one of the best ever, so be sure not to miss it!

The Carnival Committee would like to thank sponsors for their ongoing support and ask the community to please support them.

Shop Window Competition



It's only a few weeks away from the Marple Carnival and soon some of the local businesses will be dressing their windows in support of the Carnival.

It's all a bit of fun and helps brighten up the streets of Marple, which you will start to see from early June.

Below is a list of the businesses currently taking part, so please go and have a look and compliment them for their efforts.

It's totally free, and the winner receives an engraved trophy to keep and display.

Marple Carnival Committee has been granted permission by Stockport Council to close the following roads on 15th June 2024 from 11.30hrs to 14.30hrs for the annual Marple Carnival Parade:

A. Oldknow Road (complete closure from 11.30 hrs to 14.30hrs - no through traffic)

B. Strines Road/ Stockport Road/ Hibbert Lane/ Buxton Lane/ Cross Lane/ Stockport Road/ Strines Road (phased closures from 13.00 to 14.30hrs)

Adjoining side roads to those above will also be closed as the parade passes.

Stewards will be stationed along the route to assist emergency services and other road users during the event.

(Please be aware that the parade will be stopped for prolonged periods on Buxton Lane and Cross Lane to allow the route ahead to be cleared of approaching traffic before passage can safely proceed.)

Marple Carnival Great Prize Draw!

Tickets go on sale today, Saturday 18th May, for the Marple Carnival Great Prize Draw, with over 60 fantastic prizes, all donated by local businesses.

Tickets are only £1 each or 6 for £5. On sale in the Carnival gazebo on the Hollins, opposite Market Street, from 10am till 3pm.



Marple Carnival 50-50 Community Fund!

Also, you can learn more and register your interest in the new Marple Carnival 50-50 Community Fund: a fun way of having a little flutter whilst supporting many groups in your local community.

Register your interest today to be ready for the initial draw in June / July!

MARPLE CARNIVAL 2024
