Two Comedy Plays, One Night of Laughter: 26 - 30 September 2023Growing Old Disgracefully (One Act Play)Walter Platt is in his eighties and has been evicted from his council flat following a series of after-hours parties, noise and getting into rent arrears. He has been spending his rent money on horses, dominoes, drinking, partying and generally having a good time and wasting the rest. He ends up living at his son’s house which looks to be a permanent arrangement.
He is far from happy with this arrangement however, and so is his family.
Last Tango in Little Grimley* (One Act Play)Little Grimley Amateur Dramatic Society is in trouble. The membership has dwindled to four – the audiences aren’t much bigger – and if they don’t come up with some rent money soon, they’re going to be thrown out. “There’s only one thing that sells tickets these days” argues Gordon the Chairman. “Sex!”
Thus begins the chaotic and hilarious build-up to an evening of extraordinary home-grown drama – an evening the locals would never forget!
