The Marple Scarecrow Trail starts tomorrow, Saturday 24 October!

What an amazing effort by Marple Trail organisers and local shops and businesses to fill the gap due to not being able to use the parks for the Scarecrow Trail as planned.

Here are some tasters to wet your appetite:

The fantastic news is that local shops and businesses have stepped up to host the Marple Scarecrow Trail!

Following the sad news that it would not be possible to hold the Scarecrow Trail in the parks due to Covid19 restrictions, local shops and businesses have come to the rescue - so the Trail can still go ahead. So while you are shopping local in Marple and Marple Bridge look out for those spooky scarecrows in the windows of the following premises:

Littlewoods butchers x2
Harmony decor X1
Marple pet stop x1

Scarecrow Trail in Marple Memorial and Cromwell Ave Parks will not go ahead

That little * has kicked in and Stockport Council has not approved the Scarecrow Trail in the parks.

Alternative arrangements will be shared when known.

Below is a video from St. Mary's RC Primary School to give a taster of what was planned.

Hopefully it can be done next year but in the meantime, take a look at Marple Trails: https://marpletrails.org.uk/

Marple Scarecrow Trail

Marple Trails have invited the children from local primary schools to create a Spooktacular Scarecrow Trail based on the theme "HEROES and VILLAINS".

Where: MARPLE MEMORIAL PARK & CROMWELL AVENUE PARK*

When: Saturday 24 October to Wednesday 4 November 2020.

Explore the parks if you dare! Anytime day or night, but watch out for those spooky scarecrows hidden within the trees and lit up by a trail of pumpkins.

*Subject to approval from local council.
