Michelle Reynolds Podiatrist, MarpleHere is some IMPORTANT INFORMATION from Michelle... WE WILL REMAIN OPEN!With lockdown looming again, please be reassured that we are a MEDICAL service and are exempt from closure.
Medical appointments can continue during lockdown and this DOES include Podiatry services.
Please rest assured that we are operating as normal, following all the Covid safe regulations to ensure your appointments go ahead safely. Please book, and keep, your appointments if you need help with your feet, there is no need to avoid coming in to see us. We are still here and able to help you. However, if you have any concerns about this please feel free to call us to discuss this.
Even shielding patients are able to safely access our services. Please make sure when booking your appointment that we are aware of your shielding status so we can ensure we meet your needs correctly.
Please make sure you follow the Covid guidance when you attend - use the hand gel provided (or wash your hands) and ensure you follow the 2 metre distancing rules.
We look forward to seeing you at your appointment.
We will remain OPEN to serve our patients and will update you should our governing bodies advise us further about the situation
Here's a reminder of some of the changes we have made for the welfare of patients and staff...
What we will be doing:- Allowing more time between appointments for extra cleaning of surfaces such as door handles, chairs etc, before the next patient.
- The extra time will also ensure you do not come into contact with another patient on your way in and out of the building.
- Keeping the waiting area closed whilst social distancing measures are still in place.
- The toilet is closed to the public. Staff only for the foreseeable.
- Wearing full PPE (apron, gloves, FFP2 mask and visor) for the safety & welfare of both staff and patients.
- Providing essential treatment only to keep appointments as short as possible, reducing contact time (So sadly no warm wax therapy or any of the longer appointments). We can and still are performing ingrowing toenail surgery as this is classed as essential and urgent.
- Your podiatrist will take her temperature at least once a day and will not have contact with any patients if she shows any signs of symptoms of Covid-19
- Taking your temperature and asking some triage questions at the door before we allow you entry
What we will ask of you:- Please book all appointments by calling us on 427 4937. (No messaging or drop ins).
- Please arrive on time. The front door will be locked. Your podiatrist will greet you at the door for your appointment. If you arrive early, please wait outside or in your car.
- Please be patient with us whilst we triage you and take your temperature, this is for everyone's wellbeing
- Please attend your appointment unaccompanied where possible. Carers and parents of minors do need to accompany patients
- Please wear a face mask/covering for your appointment.
- Please use the hand sanitiser gel (provided) on entering and exiting building
- Please pay for your appointment by card – contactless if possible. We no longer accept cash.
- Please bring a list of your medications with you so we can update our records
It goes without saying that if you have a high temperature, other signs or symptoms of Covid-19, have returned from overseas in the last 2 weeks, or have been in close contact with anyone known or suspected to have Covid-19, we will ask you not to attend your appointment and to follow Government advice regarding self-isolation
www.gov.uk/coronavirusAs you can imagine these extra measures take time and as result we are not able to see as many patients per day as we used to. So if we are unable to offer you an appointment as quickly as you would prefer, please be patient with us. We are doing the best we can under the circumstances and have everybody's safety & welfare at heart.
