Twelve hand-coloured local photographs from a Souvenir of Marple Booklet that we had never seen before have just been added to the Virtual Tour. Use this link to view the lastest additions. Thank you to Elaine Knight for thinking of us when she found this whilst sorting through a neighbour's items.

You may have thought things have gone a little quiet recently as far as updates to the main site are concerned. You'd be right, but we do have a good excuse.

We're pleased to annouce that we have been working on a major upgrade to the Virtual Tour of Marple for the last few months and it's now READY!

We're very pleased with it and hope you like it too. The changes will mean it will be much easier to grow and expand the collection of images and we hope you'll get in touch if you have anything suitable for adding to this completely free historic resource that everyone can share.

Use this link to visit the new Tour and we'd be delighted for you to leave your comments or ask any questions here.

Was Ernocroft House where those two semis are now on the opposite side of the road?  There is a rather grand entrance totally out of keeping with the houses that are on the land.

I just had a quick look at the Marple Bridge galleries and there are a number of photos where you can see the site of Constable drive when it was a farm.

I can only post the photos that I have, if somebody out there has any on this subject I will be happy to post them.
There are a number of photos on the site that were taken before Constable drive was built, when it was Heyes Farm, it is just a case of ploughing through the galleries, (if you are specific then the search works well assuming I thought of the word when I was setting up the keywords). I counted last week and there are now over 900 old Marple pics on the Tour!!!!
