A incredible turn out for the Iron Bridge quiz this week raised a fantastic £117 - thank you everyone who squeezed in!

The Higher and Lower Game wasn't won and the £100 Jackpot prize will carry over to next week's quiz, which is the first of two for Friends of Marple Memorial Park.

£75 more was raised for Scleroderma Research at this week's quiz, making a total of £163.50 for the two weeks.

The Higher and Lower Game was played 'til the death and the £100 was won after countless attempts. Back to normal for next week's quiz for the Iron Bridge, but the Jackpot is still £100!

£88.50 for Scleroderma Research was a great result last week and we hope for a similar sum next Wednesday for the same cause.

Perhaps it'll be even more as the Higher and Lower Game is one of those exciting play'til it's won nights! The £100 Jackpot must be won!

Incidentally, if anyone is wondering - Scleroderma is a debilitating disease that Linda Goldman, who used to work behind the bar at the Ringers until she no long could, was diagnosed with several years ago. Linda, who has been in and out of hospital on a regular basis since then, was a firm favorite with the regulars at the pub and it's a cause everyone that knows her is keen to support.

Another £82 raised for Kidzklub last night, taking their total to £192.50 for the two weeks. £30 was won on the Higher & Lower Game, with the contestant wisely (it turned out) stopping after getting to the end of the first line!

Next week's quiz is for Scleroderma Reseach

Another £106.50 was raised for Otterspool Animal Haven last Wednesday, giving them a great two week total of £245.50!

Confirming Peter's post of 2 June - I don't know who it's for next week or if the H&L Game was won 'cos I had to leave early - will try to find out.

Late note: The H&L wasn't won and the next quiz is for New Horizons!

£30 was won for the third week running on the H & L game, but still £100 to play for next week when the charity is Otterspool Animal Sanctuary once again!

With £107 raised from the quiz and the sale of Higher and Lower Game tickets last night Glengarth were already doing well. At the end of the Higher and Lower Game itself, which was an unannounced 'Play 'til it's won' game, they did even better as the winner donated the £100 prize.

This takes their total over the two weeks to £284.50.

Forgot to write down who the next quiz is for, so will have to wait for Peter to tell us!

Bit of an administrative error resulting in a double-booking means that the £77.50 raised at last night's quiz will go to Glengarth, rather than Friends of Marple Memorial Park.

£30 was won on the Higher and Lower game, under the new rules explained in the recent history of this topic but the Jackpot will still remain at £100 next week, when the quiz will be for Glengarth again.

The quizzes for the Friends will be rescheduled for a couple of weeks time.

£74 raised towards the Iron Bridge restoration last night and nobody came remotely close to winning anything on the Higher and Lower Game!

Next week's quiz will be for Friends of Marple Memorial Park.
