Ring o' Bells Fun Quiz

An excellent £111.50 was raised for the Iron Bridge at last Wednesday's Quiz, and after a big build up for the play 'til it's won Higher and Lower Game - it was won at the first try. But nevermind - the jackpot at next week's quiz on 3rd November is still £100!

This week's quiz raised £93 for Glengarth, taking their two week total to £201. The Higher and Lower £100 Jackpot wasn't won again, so it will be played to a conclusion (or every raffle ticket drawn) at next week's quiz for the Iron Bridge.

Get there early on Wednesday 27th - it'll be busy!

£101.50 raised for Marple Swimming Club this week, added to the last quiz for them a couple of weeks ago makes £205.50!

Another 3 unlucky contestants in the Higher and Lower Game means that £100 jackpot is still to play for next week, when the organisation to benefit will be Glengarth again. That's Wednesday 20th October.....

A most enjoyable quiz night on the 29th, well done Andrew - standing in for Peter as Quizmaster, and £67.50 was raised towards the Iron Bridge restoration.

The Higher & Lower Game jackpot of £100 was won on the 3rd and final attempt but as the next jackpot has already built up the prize will remain at £100 for the next quiz on Wednesday 6th October.

It was good to get back into the swing of the Ringer's quizzes and another successful night on Wednesday raised £98 towards the Otterspool Animal Sanctuary, giving a two week total of £208.

The Higher and Lower Game wasn't won, taking us closer to another play 'til you drop night.

Next quiz on Wednesday 29th September is for the Iron Bridge.

Another good night! £70 raised from the quiz and a further £40 from the Higher-Lower means that Otterspool Animal Sanctuary are £110 better off this week and are coming back next week for more! Thats quite a few tins of dog food.

H & L remains unwon so we play for £100 again next week, it's getting near a play till it's won night!

Busy seems to be getting the norm! 22 teams again and a really good night was had by all. Marple Swimming Club is £104 better of and after a thrilling finish the Higher-Lower game was lost on the last card so still playing for £100 next week.
The charity for the next 2 weeks is Otterspool Animal Sanctuary.

Marple Swimming Club is this weeks charity, get in early for a seat and don't forget your flippers!!!!

Higher - Lower game remains unwon and we will be playing once again for £100.

Things were a little quieter last Wednesday, lots of people must be on their holidays, but there was still £60.50 raised towards the Guide Dog Puppies, bringing their two week total to a pretty decent £156.

The Higher and Lower £100 Jackpot stayed intact after 3 attempts, so it will carry forward to next week's quiz for the Iron Bridge on 1st September.

Last night's quiz, which was the first of two for Guide Dog Puppies, raised £95.50. Let's hope the second one on Wednesday 25th August will do just as well!

Last night the Higher and Lower Game jackpot of £100 was won at the first attempt by a very happy bunch of students from the Ridge College. We wish them the same good fortune today, when they get their A level results!

£95 was raised for the Iron Bridge last night and the Higher & Lower game jackpot of £100 was finally won after numerous attempts and several close calls. How can there be so many pairs pulled?!

Next week's jackpot is still £100 and the cause to benefit from the money raised by the quiz will be the Marple Locks Heritage Society again.

It's getting harder to find a seat, the quiz is getting so popular! Last night £115 was raised towards the Marple Locks Heritage Society.

The Higher and Lower Game failed to produce a winner of the £100 jackpot after 3 attempts, so the time has come again to play until it's won (or every ticket is pulled) at next week's Iron Bridge Quiz night. Be there early for a great night!!!

Another very well attended quiz last night for Scleroderma Research and it was great to see Linda, the former barmaid at the Ringers who suffers from this disease, there to collect the money on their behalf.

With a small amount of help the amount raised was rounded off to £118, taking the total over two weeks to £250 - a new record that will take some beating.

Next week's quiz will raise funds for Marple Locks Heritage Society, the group that organised the recent Locks Bicentenary, and are now planning similar festival for next year.

The Higher & Lower game wasn't won, despite two thrilling close calls and the £100 jackpot will be carried forward yet again.
