Young Sound and Vision are £89 better off after last nights quiz, which was  a little quieter than usual. Hopefully they will do as well next week at their second quiz night.

Thanks to Eddie for a great quiz!

£106 added to last week's total means that the Marple Band Fund have benefitted to the tune of £227 over the two weeks. £30 was won on the Higher & Lower Game too.

Next week 'Young Sound & Vision' will be the chosen charity.

Not a seat to be had in the busiest pub in Marple last night for the quiz to raise money for The Marple Band Room, and an excellent £121 was raised.

The biggest cheer of the night was saved for Lucky Eddie, who got his ticket pulled out again but failed to win on the Higher and Lower Game!

Same cause next week.

The next two weeks quizzes will be in aid of the Marple Band Room.

Unusually quite one last night, (If you can call 15 teams quiet!!!'<img'>, but still managed to raise £73 for the Girl Guides Car Park. H&L wasn't won so it's still £100 jackpot next week when we will be playing for the Car Park again.

£97 was raised for the Retired Greyhound Trust last night, and it's the second quiz for the same cause next Wednesday.

A £30 win (not Eddie) on the Higher and Lower but the Jackpot remains at £100.

A good attendance for the last Iron Bridge quiz resulted in £111.10 being raised for the match-funding. With £45.12 of interested added by Marple Local History Society earlier in the week we are pleased to report that we surpassed our target of £12,500 by about £37!  '<img'>

Thank you to everyone who has supported and helped with this cause, especially the present and previous Landlords of the Ring o' Bells.

The quizzes will continue to raise money for local charities and good causes and next week's will be in aid of the National Library for the Blind again.

An incredible turnout on Wednesday for the 'The National Library For The Blind' quiz resulted in a superb £139 raised for this cause. The Higher and Lower wasn't won but it was so crowded Peter had to stand on a chair to see the board!

Next week is the LAST Iron Bridge quiz night - our match funding raised is only £118 short of our target of £12,500. It'll take a good night to get us there so we hope there will be a good turnout!

I'm not sure if there a difference but  the actual name of next weeks cause is 'The National Library For The Blind'. (They're based in Bredbury).

Last night's quiz raised £99.50 for the Marple Carnival Charities and it's the same cause next week. A few close calls in the Higher & Lower Game but no winners this week.

Another £83 raised for the bridge last night means we're within touching distance of our target amount, thank you to everyone for your continued support.

The Higher and Lower game was won again last night, £30 on the first attempt and £70 on the next!

The next two weeks' quizzes will be in aid of the Marple Carnival Charities Committee.

Last week the £30 Higher & Lower Game prize was donated to the charity and the same happened this week. So with £132 last week and £140 last night, the Miscarriage Association is £272 better off.

Next week's quiz is the penultimate Iron Bridge Quiz - we're nearly there!
