This section of the forum, first set-up for the 2016 elections, has now been re-badged in preparation for the Local Councillor Elections in May 2022.

Councillors reaching the end of their current terms:

Incumbent Marple North Councillor Steve Gribbon  and incumbent Marple South and High Lane Councillor Colin Macalister are both standing for re-election.


So who are the candidates for the two places up for grabs in 2022?

Marple North Candidates:

Incumbent Councillor @Steve Gribbon (LibDem); Annette Finnie (Conservative); John Bright (Green Party*); @Claire Vibert (Labour).

* currently unable to confirm via the Stockport Green Party web site.

Marple South and High Lane Candidates:

Incumbent Councillor Macalister (LibDem); Andrew Lord (Conservative); Andrew Threadfall (Green Party) and Paul Wright (Labour).
