I reported this to the Canal & River Trust last week and they replied that they were aware of the 'missing' picnic table and that it would be replaced.

This was not just a case of someone picking up the table and carrying it off, they went armed with a saw and presumably some transport to carry it away.

There are other tables by lock 7 but they are near the road !

Whilst on walk along the canal we noticed that one of the picnic benches between locks 4 and 5 has been removed.  The legs have been sawn off at ground level.  Before jumping to any conclusions I just wondered if it had been removed by the canal & river trust?  Any comments?
