Congratulations indeed, but something I would like the Friends to consider is to create an Information Board showing all the attractions in their area.  We live in a very attractive area, at one time it was the weekend retreat for many Mancunians. Encouraging those visitors back would benefit the local businesses, and the rest of us by keeping more of them open

As I understand it the work will be completed on the station waiting room roof by 29th March.

Congratulations indeed, but what a pity, and what a disappointment for the Friends of Marple Station after all their hard work, that the 'owners' of the waiting room at Marple Station on platform 1 have allowed the roof to deteriorate to the extent that it "has been closed until further notice."  The roof has been leaking for a while, but if, as often happens, a train is delayed it is nice to have somewhere warm to wait.

How long will we have to wait for the repairs to be done?
