Horse for Part Loan -
« Reply #1 on: March 12, 2016, 02:10:35 PM »
"An affectionate companion and a quiet friend" .

Part loan offered to mature, experienced horseman or horsewoman. Chestnut gelding, 16 hands, IDx, retired hunter. Snaffle mouth, goes in side saddle and astride, excellent manners both in and out of the stable. Gentle, kind and sensible, loves people and safe around children. Easy to catch, good with vet and has been known to doze off when being shod. Happy hacker - hates showing.

He's 24 years old but don't be put off by this. He is active and interested in life. He's a little out of condition due to lack of exercise due to appalling weather and his owner being unable to ride at the moment.

He lives on a well-appointed teaching and livery yard with cafe and off-road access to new bridleway. Full-time qualified yard staff available for help and advice if needed.

Available 2 or more days a week. (Sunday to Friday inclusive but not Saturday as he is teaching a friend's mother to ride again after she's been out of the saddle for many years).

Would suit active retired person with time to spare and love to give. Loaner must be reliable and experienced in all aspects of equine care and must be prepared to comply with the horse's established schedule. Owner will continue to take an interest in the horse and will be available to help when required.

A small contribution to feed, etc., would be appreciated.

Don't look for the light at the end of the tunnel -  stomp along there and turn the bl**dy thing on yourself!
