As the mischevious little pixie knows (that new avatar really does suit you), it means South East Manchester Multi Modal Study!

I think the work done on Middlewood Way will probably be part of the new SEMMMS route, rather than anything to do with the Park & Patterson site.

The work done / going on in Brabyns Park, Memorial Park and on the tow path near Oldknow's warehouse at Lock 9 is all part of the new route to join up the Middlewood Way with Etherow Park.

Not sure if they've obtained planning permission yet but there's been a notice up for a while on the lamp post next to the little cottage that's all boarded up and fenced off.

Hi Tina, I agree it does look nice and saves having to dodge round all those puddles! Far as I know this section has only been done because of the houses that are planning to be built on the Park and Pattason site. It would probably make it more attractive as access to the train staion.

went for a short walk along middlewood way last night, the new path looks great and it made such a difference. I'm sure once the lights are up and running it will reassure more people.
But is the rest of middlewood way going to be done or is it just up to the rugby field?
