When my kids were toddlers in 2004 - 2009 VHS tapes were far more child-proof than DVDs and we bought stacks of them off EBay for buttons. Back then you could get a VHS / DVD combo player. Shame they're no longer available as DVDs and toddlers scratchy / smudgy fingers are not a good combination.

Yes Rose Hill may beckon, a lot have already headed there. A pity if it comes to it but I'll hang on till early next week before heading there

I had the same situation recently and I couldn't give any VHS stuff away. I'm afraid it all went into the recycling point at Rose Hill. I have kept my VHS player though, just in case, and have loaned it out a couple of times in the past year to people doing transfers.

I wanted to buy a VHS player to watch some tapes i have not yet seen yet or special personal ones. I found it impossible to find a basic  player there are converter ones but they are really expensive. Eventually my daughter bought me one at Cash Converter's. I still have music tapes to listen to but i must bin them really and I hear CD will be gone shortly as we all seem to stream these days.

I'm clearing my parents house & there are  a number of prerecorded series of detectives/ classics etc. Charity shops don't want them but if there is anyone out there who would be interested  they are welcome to them perhaps for a nominal donation to a local charity say New Horizons or something similar.
