The park looked fantastic too, thanks to Friends of the Park Volunteers who turned out on Saturday.

It was good to have the Marines there in force and the Manchester Regiment 1914-18 too.

There's now a collection of images taken by Arthur Procter during yesterday's service in the Remembrance Service Album on the Virtual Tour:

I would like to thank all who attended the Remembrance service today in the Memorial park. It was a fantastic turn out. Thanks to all who organised the event and a special thank you to Tony for an excellent speech that gave this old soldier a very large lump in his throat.
