My first job was in a Solicitor's office in Marple.  I can remember a Solicitor coming from Manchester to complete a transaction and he was called Ivor Million.

In the 1960's there was a dentist in York Road, Chorlton called Dr Frankenstein - he was from Latvia and later changed his name possibly due to young boys phoning up and asking for Igor.
