Somebody told me it was to prevent more traffic/parking down there. Not sure if that would be true though-doubt it.

Very random question...but does anyone know why Highfield Road in Marple is not tarmaced ?? ....it's the road behind the Post Office.Have been looking at houses within Marple at a certain price range and just wondered...must be awful when it snows etc

It needs to be sorted out as Coventry may fold, D day was Friday i believe

In the past, I recall having a conversation with a resident of Highfield road about the very same thing. Apparently the section you refer to is "unadopted" by the LA.
