Hi folks

I am getting in touch to see if you might be able to support my friend, who is currently running Lands End to John O'Groats for charity.  He'll be in Marple this Monday afternoon and the Ring O'Bells have kindly offered him a room for the night, which we massively appreciate.

His name is Joseph Mbu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Mbu) he has had an interesting life as a professional rugby player (Bath, Wasps, Harlequins), however in the last year he has chosen to take time out to restore his Grandfather's maternity hospital the Joedy Memorial Hospital in Nigeria, which is needing a lot of restoration.

And so... Joe Mbu - The Running Man (http://joembutherunningman.wordpress.com/), began his training and on March 29th he left Lands End on his mission to John O'Groats to raise money for this wonderful cause. You'll find his blog very entertaining reading and his personality really comes across.
Joe is lucky to have a large 'rugby family' which he can depend on for support in key cities, however in between those cities are many towns where Joe will be needing accommodation for the night and will be unfamiliar with the area. As he is running this alone, with only a remote support team- he spends his evenings writing his blog, soaking his feet in the bath and will be downstairs at the Ring O'Bells from about 7pm to chat to any rugby or running fans if they'd like to join him for a drink.

If you could pass this message on we'd be really grateful for the support. His facebook page is "Joe Mbu- The Running Man" and his blog is joembutherunningman.Wordpress.com You can link up with Joe on Twitter @Runwalkstagger if you'd like to follow him- he'd be chuffed if he knew there'd be a few folk about on monday. It's a long day running on your own!

Best wishes
