hi,
I am Steve McClelland.  I have dug deep and think that Dave's funeral was at the Jubilee Chapel in Compstall, next to the Northumberland Arms.

A family of 4 bro's, all in their 60's, 3 still live Marple Bridge glossop rd area near Trav's & can be found there at times. Stephen lives way down South, was in France but I think Southampton or that area.

There could be 2 of that name though?

There was a McLelland family that lived at the top end of Hollins land, MARPLE BRIDGE around the 1970s. I knew of them but don't remember their names.

The birth of a Stephen E McLelland was registered in N E Cheshire in June 1951 so he would now be 63.

I am trying to trace a Stephen Ewart McLelland who lived at 69 Hollins Lane Marple in 1971.
I have been trying to find the last resting place of my husbands step brother David Alan Waters who died in 1971 in a road accident. The inquest held in Buxton in 1971 names Stephen as a witness.
Any help how ever small will be very much appreciated.
Are you sure it was Hollins Lane Marple and not Marple Bridge? I don't think there is a number 69 on Hollins Lane Marple.
