I'm a bit surprised that no-one has commented on the fact that MAELR (Manchester Airport Eastern Link Road) got funding this week in the October budget statement. This is the western bit of the SEMMS link road - unfortunately the bit that has recieved funding only gets as far as the A6 just up from the dairy and missing link from here to the M60 at Bredbury still remains a dream - but I guess its a start!

More traffic from Marple on Windlehurst Lane maybe as we all use the new link to the M56 and the airport? Either way I hope they get on with it, as it will be great for me to get work!
