Petition Signatures

Oh we already know that the supermarkets go through them with a fine tooth comb looking for double signatures so we are doing their work for them  .  My aim is 10,000 but like the others in MIA I am confident we can get more so Dave please don't sign twice it just makes more work for us

Rather than arguing that Marple shoppers should have 'residency qualifications' before being allowed to sign a petition (which is a bit ridiculous, I agree!), I'm more interested in the validity of the (supposedly) 7,000 signatories described here by Miss M:

Lots more signatures again today for our fast growing petition which has now over 7,000 What A Team !

No doubt like many of us, I have now been approached a number of times by clipboard-wielding MIA people, asking me to sign their copy of the petition.  No-one has yet asked whether I have already signed it or not............

Just a thought. 

We are constantly asked if people can sign more than once and constantly telling people that they can't. We have done our best to ensure there are no (or at least, very few) duplicates. Mark has also been deleting duplicates from the online petition.
