If the people of Marple held a referendum and unilaterally declared independence from the rest of the UK, would the area be viable as an independent country? Marple is 5 times the size of Monaco and there are 4 sovereign nations with a population smaller than Marple.

Miss Marple could be our new Queen!  ;D
She thinks she all ready is . :D

If you haven't already seen it check out a film called "Passport to Pimlico"  ;)
It's a comedy made just after the war which plays out what would happen if an English town did declare independence
I think you'd like it
