Just to let you know that Romiley Young Farmers are still going strong and weather permitting the Show will go on..... ;)
Oh good. And are you going to reinstate the side saddle class in the horse show? There is a considerable following for the "elegant art" in the district

From the RYFS web site, looks like they don't know yet, or is it out of date?

The Romiley Young Farmers Club and Show Committee are delighted to announce we have concluded and consolidated our position and are currently looking for a good new venue for Showfield consideration. As a major attraction in the North West Show Calendar, since the scorching Show of 2006, we have had the very worst luck - with three consecutively bad years of rain it would seem July is the new April!

Naturally this would effect any outdoor event and we are no different. Hence our desire to re-organise and reassess all aspects of the Show at this time. It is important to stress however that Romiley Young Farmers Show is financially stable and takes these decisions’ from a position of ensuring the future success of this very family oriented event and no other reason.

At no time is, or was, Romiley Young Farmers Show in any form of financial jeopardy.

We have a few vacancies to fill on the Show Committee, and we can never have too many volunteers helping out during the Shows’ preparation - and take down! Each one of our valued team members has his or her own individual specialty to offer from putting show rings up, to managing the numerous sections, to the administration, back office and financial aspects of planning and running this spectacular show. If you are interested in being a part of it we look forward to welcoming you. Come meet the team that puts it together. Our next Show Meeting is on 25th Nov 09 (held at Woodley Civic Centre, on this and every last Wednesday of the month) to find out how your help and input can make all difference. Can’t make it to the meeting? You can always contact any of our members named on the website.

We look forward to our next Show in 2011… as well as some new and exciting events along the way! The Black Tie Summer Ball? Farmer Christmas? Book mark this page for details, date and prices as they emerge!

You can't just hit and run like that! How about some details of when and where the next show is going to be?
