It is not children friendly though. As a children's centre why not take the opportunity of a refit to make the library children friendly. They have now moved the children's section right next to the automatic doors!!!! what could be worse while you are working your self service check in/out you have to literally tie the children in a pushchair or to one as you can't possibly have eyes in the back of your head.

I recognise that the layout looks nice, but I guess Bat man is only 3ft tall, otherwise how to you read the spines of the books on the ground level shelf, and we are still waiting for the Non Fiction to be grouped into classifications.

Marple Library has had a revamp,it looks great,well done Stockport Council. :D
