Recycling And Refuse Collection Information Available Online

Stockport residents can now check their recycling and refuse collection days by visiting the Council’s website.

The extensive recycling database which contains individual details for all Stockport households has been made available along with the refuse collection dates. All you have to do to find out when your recycling and refuse is collected is type in your postcode or road name on the relevant webpage.

The webpages will show the dates of your next collection along with a reminder about what can be recycled using the Council’s services.

Councillor Stuart Bodsworth, Executive Member for the Environment said: “This is a little bit of extra help for anyone who has ever forgotten which recycling collection is due next. It is just one of the many improvements the Council is making to the way recycling and refuse is collected in Stockport. Over the next two years, household recycling opportunities will be expanded meaning more waste will be recycled and less sent to landfill.”

The A-Z of Environmental Services has also been updated on the Council’s website. Here, visitors to the site can find a range of information about the recycling and waste services available to them in Stockport, from details about the household recycling centres to advice on composting.

Free internet access is available at all Stockport libraries. For further information go to www.stockport.gov.uk/waste
