New road?

Describing the proposed Marple-Stockport cycle link as 'major road building through the Goyt Valley' is some distortion.  However, I have emailed Cllr Harding to ask him what he's referring to.  If I get an answer I'll post it here.  I'm beginning to suspect it's a figment of his imagination!   '>

Possibly/probably, you know how things get distorted as the message passes along.  Don't know anything about a ROAD, although perhaps it should be. Sustrans have the oportunity to bid for funding to assist in an off road link between Marple and Stockport. look up www.Sustransconnect2.com and type in Stockport. This is a nationawide competition to be finally decided on an ITV programme. If it is this then it would give those willing to cycleto work etc, and on the continent hundreds do, to be able to bypass the Marple Traffic Blockage.
